You have been to a food festival. Write an email to your English-speaking friend,
James, (50-100 words). In your email:
• write what you did at the festival.
• describe the dishes you tried there.
• tell your friend about a competition you took part in.

You can use the email in Exercise 1 on page 80 (Workbook) as an example.

In order to learn about polysyllables, we should start with a syllable.  A syllable is a unit of organization for a sequence of speech sounds. For example, the word water is composed of two syllables: wa and ter. A syllable is typically made up of a syllable nucleus (most often a vowel) with optional initial and final margins (typically, consonants).
